VakifBank pursues the 26th victory in Europe

VakifBank Women's Volleyball Team will meet with the representative of Bulgaria, Maritza Plovdiv, in the fourth match of the 2019 CEV Champions League at VakıfBank Spor Sarayı at 18:00 tomorrow. Giovanni Guidetti, Head coach of VakıfBank stated that “Our team is in a good period. We want to take the match approach with the same focus as in the last match. Plovdiv is improving day by day but we know we cannot leave any points in this group. We want to be in the first place in the group. So we will play hard like every match.”

World and European champion of the last two years will meet with the representative of Bulgaria, Maritza Plovdiv, in the fourth match of the 2019 CEV Champions League at VakıfBank Spor Sarayı at 18:00 tomorrow. The yellow-blacks with 25 consecutive victories in Champions League managed to defeat Allianz MTV Stuttgart by 3-1 in the first match in Group A, Maritza Plovdiv by 3-0 in the second match, and Beziers VB by 3-0 in the third match.

VakıfBank Coach Giovanni Guidetti stated that they were leaders with nine points in Group A and added “Our team is in a good period. It was a very important game for us to play as a team together. Now we will play with Maritza Plovdiv at home. Plovdiv is one of the most important teams in our group. At the beginning of the season we played a friendly match in home. We played an away match in Champions League with them. We are going to play with a team that we know closely. We want to be prepared well for this match and hope return with victory.”
